Biography: Coach Hale is entering his fourth year at The Henderson
International School. He will be serving as the Department Head of Physical
Education and the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.
In the 2005-2006 season Coach Hale led the Wolverines to a 9-9 record which was
the first varsity boys basketball winning season in the school's history. In
2006-2007 Coach Hale led his team to its first ever 1st place pre-season
tournament finish and its best finish in the Nevada 1A Central League.
Before arriving at The Henderson International School, Coach Hale was a
graduate assistant coach at Concordia University in Portland, OR where Coach
Hale was responsible for scouting and film exchange coordinator. In 2002-2003
Coach Hale helped Concordia to a Cascade Conference Championship. At
Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, OR he was responsible for
scouting, recruiting, and film exchange coordinator. In 1999-2000 Coach Hale
helped Southwestern Oregon to a NWAACC Southern Division Championship.
Coach Hale is a 1997 graduate of Durango High School in Las Vegas, NV. In
1995-96 he helped Durango to its 2nd Consecutive Nevada State Boys Basketball
Championship. Coach Hale went on to play at Southwestern Oregon C.C. in Coos
Bay, Oregon. During his sophomore year he was awarded with the Les Schwab South
Coast Athlete of the Week and was selected to the NWAACC Southern Division
All-Conference Team. Hale went on to finish his college basketball career at
Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. At Concordia he was awarded with the
Coach's Award, Hustle Award, and Best Defense Award. He was also selected to
the Cascade Conference All-Defensive Team his senior year. Hale is 10th on
Concordia's University Men's Basketball All-Time Record for minutes played with
1803 minutes in just two years.
This past spring Coach Hale played professional basketball with the Las Vegas
Stars in the team's inaugural season of the International Basketball League
(IBL). Coach Hale led the Las Vegas Stars in 3-point attempts and was nominated
as a 2007 IBL All-Star.
