 Our Kindergarten program does an
excellent job of introducing students to a life dedicated to academic
excellence. Students are taught by highly qualified professional educators, who
guide them in their development from the beginning of the school year to the
end. Our educators understand the needs of new students, and capably prepare
them for the future. Along with study in the core areas of Math, Language,
Reading, Social Studies and Science, our students also participate in a variety
of enrichment classes, such as PE, Art, Music and Foreign Language. They are
involved in exciting and interesting instruction every day, and they are given
the opportunity to become participating members of the school-wide community.
Though our Kindergarten students excel in all the core academic areas, we are
most proud of the fact that by the end of Kindergarten, every student has
become a capable reader. We provide a strong base in phonics along with
opportunities to read books of their own choice through our Accelerated Reading
program. This approach leads our Kindergarten students to become life-long
readers, and is a pillar of their future academic success.
