Our Core Curriculum
The Henderson International School is a member of the National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPSA) and the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). The school is approved by the State of Nevada Private School Licensing Board. Academically, all students are required to take courses in history, literature and composition, mathematics, laboratory sciences, and foreign language every year that they are enrolled at The Henderson International School. Concurrently, students will be involved with a wide variety of co-curricular offerings including music, art, digital media, and physical education. In addition, Upper School students may participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities including team sports, student government, band, chorus, and theater. Elementary students' after-school activities include jazz, ballet, gymnastics, choir, baking, chess, and piano.
This well-rounded program recognizes that each student at The Henderson International School is an individual possessing a unique set of talents and abilities. The role of our teachers is to assist each student in acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and perspectives for success in college and throughout their lives.
