Jon McGill, Head of School

Most recently, Jon led the prestigious Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland where he served as headmaster for six years. Prior to his service to the Gilman School, Jon served as the associate head of school at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, New York for six years. Before moving to Brooklyn, Jon chaired the history and social science department at Wilmington Friends School in Wilmington, Delaware. The early part of his career was spent in London, England where he taught at both the Chase Cross School and the Forest Gate School.

Jon's own educational background includes a Master of Education degree from the University of London Institute of Education, and three degrees from the University of Waterloo, Ontario: a Masters in History, an Honor's Bachelor's degree in History, and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature.


Jolene Pruyt, Headmaster of Sunridge

Jolene earned her Master of Education degree in administration from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Westminister College, a private institution in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has taught kindergarten through 5th grade and was also a principal and pre-school director at the Silverado campus of a Challenger School in Las Vegas. Jolene holds teaching certificates in both Utah and Nevada.


Ron Bennett, Headmaster of Lower School

Mr. Bennett has more that 40 years of experience in Independent Schools through a myriad of educational settings. His teaching experience includes Middle School social studies and math, as well as Varsity coaching in basketball, baseball, golf and tennis. His administrative experience includes High School Athletic Director, Kindergarten through 9th grade Dean of Students, and Head of Middle School at Francis Parker School in San Diego, California, where he worked for 26 years. Relocating from California, Mr. Bennett has been Head of the Windmill Campus since 1993. Mr. Bennett holds a Masters of Education and a B.S. from the University of San Diego.


Amy Hall, Director of Admissions

Mrs. Hall was born & raised in San Diego, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English (1988) from Colorado College. Prior to joining Warren-Walker School seven years ago, Mrs. Hall spent four years at The Hearst Corporation as Circulation Promotion Analyst, one year at Phillips-Ramsey Advertising & Public Relations as Assistant Account Executive and two years at Knoth & Meads Advertising as Account Coordinator. When Mrs. Hall is not at work, she loves to spend time at home with family, as well as visiting new and exciting places. She also loves to exercise, cook, snow ski, and swim in the ocean. A few of Mrs. Hall's memorable life moments include 4 yrs. of playing NCAA Volleyball, 3 summers working on a Dude Ranch in Jackson Hole, WY, and watching her two sons grow up. Mrs. Hall's two boys (2nd grade and 5th grade), both attend Warren-Walker School.


Mike Ostrowski, Athletic Director

Coach Ostrowski is beginning his first year at The Henderson International School and will be serving as the Director of Athletics at the Upper School Campus and will also oversee athletic development at both Lower School Campuses. In addition, Coach Ostrowski will also be the Wolverines Head Baseball Coach.

Before arriving here in Henderson, Coach Ostrowski was Assistant Athletic Director at our Meritas sister school North Broward Prep in Coconut Creek, FL. While at North Broward Prep, he coached golf and baseball and was responsible for running the school's intramural basketball program. He also assisted in coordination of all Meritas related activities last year, including all three Middle School Jamborees.

Coach Ostrowski attended East Stroudsburg University (East Stroudsburg, PA) where he played Division II College Baseball and received his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education - English. Coach Ostrowski has also worked as a professional baseball instructor and camp director for Americas Baseball Camps (Granite Bay, CA) and has instructed many basketball clinics for the past eight years.
