Middle School Football – 2007 SOUTHERN NEVADA MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!
On Friday evening our MS Football team hosted Mountain View in the Southern Nevada Middle School Championship Game. The Wolverines engineered a fourth quarter comeback and capped it off in with an overtime touchdown to win by a score of 30-22!!
Trailing 16-6 with under 3:00 remaining, the Wolverines scored a touchdown and converted a two-point conversion to make the score 16-14. Not be outdone, Mountain View stormed right back a scored a touchdown of their own to go on top 22-14 with just over 2:00 left and all but sealed the Wolverines fate. However, the Wolverines stopped the Saints conversion attempt and left a small glimmer of hope.
After gaining excellent field position on the kickoff, Henderson International used two big plays to advance down the field and scored with 58 seconds remaining. After a successful conversion try, the game was sent into overtime where the Wolverines would score the winning touchdown and stuff the Saints on their attempt to tie the score!!
It was the first Middle School Football Championship in 5 years for our school and it finished off an 8-0 undefeated season for The Henderson International School!
