In the 2007-2008 school year, art students had many opportunities to showcase their talents. Within individual art classes, students created paintings that were sold as auction items at the Spring Gala. During April's Swiss Week, students designed their own cuckoo clocks and displayed them in the hallways. The Fine Arts Festival also served as a forum for our gifted students to display their creativity. The culminating visual arts project of the year was for an event called Arts Alive. The event was a collaborative effort inspired by a generous parent working with a local artist and the Henderson International School faculty. Sixty art students designed and painted 2' x 5' canvases, unfurled them as banners, and auctioned them off to raise money for the Fine Arts program.
