Activities & Sample Schedule

Each morning, campers are escorted by a counselor from our convenient car-line dropoff to the shaded playground where they will meet & greet their counselors and friends until we start the camp day.  Counselors lead their group to an "Opening Circle" where campers place their bags in cubbies and the group sings songs, takes attendance, collects lunches, and hears the day's schedule of six different camp activities.

Field games and other outside activities will be played before lunch.  However, if it is too warm, we will bring the campers inside to play.  We have numerous activities each day, many led by a Specialist, to make every camp day a new adventure.

We have also planned "Spirit Days" and invited special guests to lead "Mystery Blocks" where campers will participate in unique activities.  There is a "Camper Talent Show", "Pancake & Pajama Day", "Crazy Hair Day" and everyone's favorite, "Color War"! These are just a few of the events we have planned all in addition to our regular camp activities.

We end each camp day all together with "Popsicle Time" and "Closing Circle" where the entire camp comes together to sing songs, celebrate birthdays, play games, and win the coveted "Spirit Stick".  During dismissal, campers wait with their counselors until their name is called and are then scorted by a counselor to the car-line for pick-up.  After dismissal, extended care begins in our Rec Room.

Campers are scheduled for pool or water play every day.  There are 4 Red Cross certified lifeguards on duty during each swim period and the regular camp staff are required to remain at the pool while their campers are swimming.  Two camp groups (about the same age) swim together at a time, limiting the number of campers in our pool.  Although we encourage every camper to swim, we do not force them to do so.  All campers are swim tested by a lifeguard and the shallow end is sectioned off for campers who are not as comfortable in deep water.  Campers will receive a colored wrist band indicating their swim level and will be required to wear their swim band at the pool.  We encourage campers to wear one of our life vests at the pool if they are not yet water safe.  We do not provide swim instruction during the camp day.
