Earth Day 2017

April 25, 2017

Earth Day was a fun day, packed with activities and learning for everyone! Students spent the day rotating through experiments and hands-on Earth & Life Science activities to help learn how to care for our planet. Students in grades K - 8 were provided with a menu of around 20 different sessions to choose from, including:
* Deforestation Minecraft
* Can we recycle water?
* Endangered Species
* Solar Energy S’mores
* Green Energy
* Upcycled Chandeliers
* Biodegradable Corn Plastic
* Busy Bees - how flowers are pollinated
* Deep Sea Divers - the layers of the ocean
Each student had their own individualized schedule, and classes were made up of mixed-age groups to bring students from middle and elementary together. Early Childhood had their own set of ED activities including art projects and a recycling parade.
